Family Law Issues Arising Out Of Massage Parlor Bust in MARTIN, ST. LUCIE AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Hundreds of men throughout the Treasure Coast have been arrested and will be arrested on charges of solicitation to commit prostitution. Firstly, this situation is quite sad and it’s reverberations will be felt not only by the men who committed these acts, but also by their Wive’s , Children and Significant Others. The social impacts arising out of this matter will be reverberating throughout the entire Treasure Coast, including Martin, St Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. The second thing I want to point out is that this is not the end of the world, regardless of how this situation will particularly impact your life. There will be criminal charges that must be attended to and those charges may not only be state charges but federal charges as well. This particular situation will most likely end up with people filing divorce matters, paternity matters and custody matters. I can tell you that I expect that the court system will be greatly affected by this horrible set of circumstances. Thus, it is vitally important that you get proper counsel on board and that you do not make any hasty decisions that you will regret later on. The names of the "spas" are as follows: Cove Day Spa, 6136 S.E. U.S.1, Stuart Therapy Spa, 2836 S.E. U.S. 1, Stuart Bridge Day Spa, 11774 S.E. U.S. 1, Hobe Sound Orchids of Asia Day Spa, 103 U.S. 1, Jupiter Sequoia Apple Day Spa, 10447 S.E. U.S. 1, Hobe Sound AA Massage, 1547 U.S. 1, Sebastian East Spa, 2345 14th Ave., Suite 10, Vero Beach It would appear that many of the people whom have been arrested visited these places on multiple occasions. There may also be surveillance video of sexual acts being performed. I think the police very specifically targeted those whom went to these places multiple times and whom they have video evidence of sex acts being done and paid for. It should be noted that these places appeared from the outward façade to be legitimate massage operations. So, not everybody who walked in and got a massage are necessarily guilty of doing anything wrong. Many people provided Medicare Cards and Credit Cards which wouldn't make them appear to be trying to do anything wrong. Nothing in this missive should be construed to suggest the guilt or innocence of those accused. Each situation has to be evaluated on the evidence and not just the accusations. Those sexual partners of the accused should immediately be checked for STDs although there is no suggestion in the reports that I have read that anyone caught an STD from these places. The Gufford Law Firm stands ready, willing and able to assist you in your time of need. Additional resources provided by the author

If you were wondering whether or not you or your loved one (or maybe not such a loved one at this point) has been charged in this matter, please call us and we can usually find out pretty quickly. The Sheriffs office for each county has a website that allows you to search recent arrests as well as inmate searches on their website. However, if a person has not been arrested and there is an open warrant, that information is not available to the general public. The reason for that is if there is an open warrant, law-enforcement does not want the person that is the Subject to flee or evade Arrest. That being said, we have resources at our disposal that can usually let us know if there is an outstanding warrant. Links are being provided below to the Sheriff's Offices for Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties so that you can look up what is out there in the public domain.
