Drones and privacy laws - What you (and your camera) need to know

Drones, photographers and Privacy laws. The reasonable expectation of privacy test is the basis for determining whether someone's privacy rights have been violated. Drone operators and photographers deal with invasion of privacy concerns whenever they venture out in the public to fly or take pictures. There are four types of invasion of privacy claims: Intrusion of Solitude; Appropriation of Name or Likeness; Public Disclosure of Private Facts; and False Light. Understanding these invasion of privacy claims is the start to appreciating your limitations as a drone pilot and a photographer.
