Does Email Tracking Violate the Rules of Professional Conduct?

Might there be more than meets the eye when you open an email? Sure, there is the content of the email, the signature of the sender, and often attachments. But there can be another unseen component to that email that allows the sender to learn a lot more than just if it has been open.
