Depression an Social Security Disability: what is working in 2018

What does it take to win Social Security disability benefits if your claim arises from depression and anxiety?

As I discuss in this video, #disability judges in #Atlanta area hearing offices - downtown Atlanta OHO, North Atlanta OHO or Covington OHO - are requiring evidence of severe depression. This means that your medical record needs to contain evidence of on-going treatment dating back many months or years, and evidence of in-patient #psychiatric hospitalization and/or #suicide attempts.

#SSDI judges meet claimants every day who contend that they cannot work because of #depression, #PTSD, and #anxiety so if this mental health condition is your primary impairment, the evidence in your case must reflect a severe problem.

If your level of depression is not quite at the point where you have attempted self harm or where you have been hospitalized, depression can still be a part of your argument for disability, but you will need something else other than mental illness to win benefits.

If you are struggling with depression to the point where your capacity to work is being impacted, and you would like to know more about Social Security disability, please feel free to contact me. #Atlantasocialsecuritydisability #CovingtonSocialSecurityDisability #AlpharettaSocialSecuritydisability #AtlantaSSDIlawyer Free Survival Kit Don’t know where to begin?
