Debt buyers are covered by the FDCPA in a collection lawsuit, right?

Yes, they are in almost all cases.

Debt buyers who are in the business of buying debt to then collect or sue on it are just one type of debt collector that are covered by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Because of this, whatever a debt collector does in a collection lawsuit is covered by the FDCPA.

We have filed dozens of lawsuits against debt buyers in relation to their bogus lawsuits.

Hope this is helpful to you!
