Criminal Convictions Need Not Affect Your Asylum Case

Asylum is a form of relief granted to individuals who would suffer serious harm based on their race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership in a particular social group. Criminal convictions that prohibit foreign nationals from being granted residency will not result in an asylum.
