There are countless credit counseling agencies. There are a few, but not many, that you should trust. Shy away from any that ask you to pay thousands of dollars up front to settle your debts. If you are struggling financially, seek professional help from an attorney. An attorney can advise you of all potential options; from bankruptcy to working with reliable credit counseling agencies to dealing directly with your creditors. Only an attorney can and should advise you of your legal options, such as bankruptcy.
