Court Attendance Requirement for Injured Children with Settlements in San Diego, California

Posted by attorney Mark Blane

In this video, San Diego Child Injury lawyer explains whether or not an injured child is required under California law to attend his or her court hearing that approves his or her settlement for bodily injuries. Many times a judge will want to "see injuries" of the child when there are "scar injuries" or if the medical records are not enough. Yet, it is not a requirement that the child attend the approval hearing, but it is often recommended. If the child is too young, or not very injured, than many times attendance is not required.
