Chrysler Forced To Recall 600,000 Vehicles

Posted by attorney Brett Emison

Chrysler has been forced to recall nearly 600,000 Jeep Wranglers and Chrysler and Dodge minivans due to "sticky" accelerator and potential fire problems according to NBC News.

Vehicles recalled include:

  • Nearly 285,000 model year 2008 and 2009 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans because of an electrical system problem that may cause a short circuit in the sliding door latch, resulting in fire
  • Almost 289,000 model year 2007-2010 Jeep Wranglers due to a potential brake fluid leak that could result in brake failure
  • More than 25,000 model year 2007 Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass vehicles due to "sticky" accelerator pedals

Owners of these Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles will be notified later this month and Chrysler has said it will repair the vehicles without charge.
