Can I Sue My Disability Insurance Company If They Cut Off My Benefits?

There are two main types of disability insurance in the USA. With an individual policy that you bought outside of work, you may be able to immediately file a lawsuit to recover your disability benefits if the disability insurance company cuts you off. However, if you bought your disability insurance through work, you participate in an ERISA plan, and you cannot file suit immediately.
