A PLAINTIFFS' LAWYER LOOKS AT VAPINGI consider myself quite fortunate to be able to have a career that has the very real potential to actually help people… attorney… and sometimes the subject matters of that help crosses into medicine/health/well-being which seems to be something about which I know a bit more than the average Joe.
One such example is helping victims of the vaping industry. No different than other billion profiteers (tobacco, certain pharmaceutical companies, and certain medical device manufacturers) who know their products can cause physical harm yet market them as safe, the vape industry is peddling their poison… But, here’s a major difference… the vape industry is targeting teenagers… children… the very people we, as a society, need to protect because they are young, impressionable, not mature enough to recognize the lies they are being told, and our future. Sound dramatic? It should, because the seriousness of this epidemic cannot be overstated. If something is not done to put a stop to the vaping industry’s exponential growth, we will witness exponential death and disease rates in those children who vape.
What to Do?If your child is addicted to E-Cigarettes (nicotine, toxins) or suffering any physical harm (stroke, seizure, lung disease, etc.) from vaping… First, get your child medical help. Second, consider legal action. It is our goal of my law firm, and the lawyers with whom I work, to put an end to the vaping crisis by helping victims file civil lawsuits. These lawsuits will not only provide monetary compensation to the victims but take away the vaping industry’s financial incentives. And, yes, I understand the argument that “monetary compensation” does not restore a victim to health, does not undo physical damage, and is not an exact measure of harm. However, it is all a civil court can award as there is no way to undo physical harm – no way to turn back the hands of time.
