3 Ways to Quash a Warrant
This guide lists three ways an individual with an active bench warrant can get the warrant quashed.
Hire CounselIf you hire a lawyer, a lawyer can file a motion to quash. In city court cases, you may not even need to appear. For felonies you will have to appear.
Call the CourtYou can often call the court and ask that a court date be set up. They generally will oblige, However, if they do not, see the next section.
Walk-in CourtYou may want (or need) to walk into court to get your warrant quashed. If you do, be prepared to post a bond in the event the court requires you to post one. This is usually not the case, especially on misdemeanors, but it's always best to be prepared.
