2011 Moreno Valley Car Accidents Cause Serious Injuries, Deaths

Still considered a developing city, Riverside County's Moreno Valley has many acres of land available to develop in the 51 square miles of land the city covers. Like other similar cities of its size, car accidents in Moreno Valley occur on a daily basis, killing or injuring hundreds of people every year. September 10, 2011: A 27-year-old Walnut man died in a crash on Perris Boulevard.

September 7, 2011: A 33-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a Honda Accord at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Commerce Center Drive in Moreno Valley.

August 26, 2011: One person died and one person was injured in a head-on collision on Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley.

August 21, 2011: A 49-year-old Moreno Valley man died when his pickup truck veered off Highway 60 and crashed near the Day Street off-ramp.

July 24, 2011: A 51-year-old man died in a rear-end collision caused by a suspected drunk driver on Alessandro Road.

July 22, 2011: A bicyclist was fatally run over by a motor home driver on Cactus Avenue in Moreno Valley.

June 30, 2011: A motorist suffered moderate injuries in a collision with a big-rig on westbound Hihgway 60 near Heacock Street.

May 31, 2011: A 4-vehicle injury accident was reported on the 60 west at Pigeon Pass.

March 8, 2011: a 74-year-old man pushing a shopping cart was struck and killed by a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck at Perris Boulevard and Myers Avenue.

April 20, 2011: Several people were injured in a head-on collision on Reche Canyon Road.

January 29, 2011: Three people were hurt in a crash on the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley.

January 13, 2011: A patient in an ambulance died in a car vs. ambulance crash at the intersection of Ironwood Avenue and Pigeon Pass Road in Moreno Valley.
