My landlord and I negotiated a lease renewal agreement in which numerous repairs needed to be done before the end of my previous lease. The rent was only going to increase because those repairs would be carried out in that time frame. However, none of those repairs were completed and have yet to be completed and I've already renewed my lease with the increased rent. Theres also a clause on both leases that he has to cover repairs up to $100. Is the increased rent fair and can my landlord continue to deny me repairs?
Fair is not an issue when you have a signed contract. Its now a matter of what you agreed to. Fair is what is considered BEFORE you sign an agreement.

Unless the "lease renewal agreement" you negotiated (without a lawyer) is in writing and signed by all parties, you are completely out of luck.
