I'm a 15 year old girl with an 18 year old guy. My mom is forcing me to break up with him because of his posts BEFORE WE EVEN GOT TOGETHER!!!!!! He doesn't want to do anything sexual with me. And I don't want to either. My parents don't like the idea of us together, should it be any of their business of what goes on with who I date since I know what's wrong and what's right. If they don't start trusting me, I'm hoping I can go to court and get out of there.
The age of consent in AR is sixteen. Since you are sixteen, you are a minor. It is your parent's legal obligation to take care of and protect you. That means that they can say who you date, and if you date. Going to court and getting out of there? To where? You can't go to live with your boyfriend, he would be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He can be charged with that if you do anything against your parent's wishes to be with him. You are what in the tenth grade? You can't even get a job without permission from your parents. This 18 year old adult is looking at to many issues to make it worth him having anything to do with a 15 year old girl.
