Rented a house in Roswell Georgia for four years. The lease ended January 31st and I gave notice December 29th, 2017. I moved out December 28, 2017 and left the house broom clean. I paid January's rent even though I was not occupying the house .
I have had problems with the landlord promptly repairing things the last two years. I have paid for many minor repairs and one significant one to the air conditioner for $400.00. I kept the receipt.
I was a good tenant and I would just like my security deposit returned. Also, I never received any documentation as to where the security deposit was kept. What bank? Interest rate.
I have moved to a different state that is a 14 hour drive. I feel I just need a little help with an attorney writing the demand letter. The rental owner was the landlord and the amount is $1300.00. Is any attorney interested and if so how much would this cost? Thank you so much in advance
You should file a suit in small claims court for the deposit and the repairs that you paid for that your landlord should have covered. First, write a demand letter and ask for this money.
