I filed I765 application as part of my marriage-based green card I130/I485 application packet on April 1, 2016 (same-sex marriage, my husband is a US citizen). I received 3 receipts on April 11 and was told the USCIS received my applications (485,765,130) on April 06,2016. Today, May 25, I went to USCIS to do biometrics! My question is that when I can receive my work permit to work? I know the process day is about 90 days! I just wonder when the clock is start ticking! My friend told me from the day USCIS received my application, which is April 6! But another friend told me it starts from the day you do fingerprint! I really need to work around July! Need to pay rent and food! Omg, can someone tell me around when I can be authorized to work in this country?
It takes a full 90 days right now ... sometimes more ... the date is based on the date of the fee receipts.
Thus, your permit will probably arrive around early-to-mid July.
Stop talking to and never listen to 'friends' ... every case is different and clearly this 'friend' doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

The 90 day period commences at the time that the adjustment petition/application is properly on file with USCIS. If you do not receive an RFE then use the date as stated in the FORM I-765 receipt to count the 90 day period.
