I'm looking for a new job/jobs and I am curious, because I got caught stealing small items (Yu-Gi-Oh cards, earrings) from Kohl's and Target would that appear on a background check for any jobs? I wasn't arrested or anything both stores gave me a piece of paper saying I wasn't allowed back at the store.
No they will not show up. A no-trespassing order is a private order from one individual (or company) to another. There is no public record of no-trespassing orders. However, there is a database that some retail stores subscribe to that contains lists of shoplifters. If you are applying for jobs in the retail sector, they may see you there.
