Yesterday my cousin and I was arrested for shoplifting but I personally didn’t take anything. I was only with her . I’m only 17 and I got charged with shoplifting. While She Was In Action I was Not really Around But She Got me to hold some things while she found other things I thought she was going to pay for the items. While we were exiting the store I asked where were the items.
You shouldn't talk about the facts of your case in this level of detail online. It could be used against as an admission. It's hard to answer your question without more facts. You should hire an attorney. You can look through this website and see attorney's that are located in your area or you can go to the gabar.org and search attorneys by area and area of practice. Let your attorney focus on getting the case dropped. FYI, you don't have to be the one that carried the item out in order to be charged and convicted of shoplifting. If you encouraged, assisted, etc...then you can be considered a "part to the crime." An attorney would be able to determine if you can were merely present or party to the crime.
