I am currently working on H4-EAD. My employer is planning to file H1B on April 1. I have an urgency and need to travel on May month. I need to get my H4 visa stamped in May and come back on H4.
Provided the above situation does the H1B filing has to be change of status(COS) or consulate processing?
what is the impact on H4 stamping if it is COS?
what is the impact on H4 stamping if it is consulate processing?
Generally, there is no impact on H4 stamping if H1B is filed COS. But, generally if not I the US the H1 is converted to consulate processing despite the COS request.
