my boyfriends parents are filing a wrongful death claim, if my daughter files a claim too (that’s her daddy who died) will the settlement be more since he had a daughter?
Your daughter must be part of any claim. If she does not file her own claim, she must be joined as a nominal defendant to the grandparents' claim. All wrongful death claimants must be accounted for in such a lawsuit. And, yes, your daughter's recovery would be more, or in addition to, the grandparents recovery.
