1. Shame on the police officer. There are very few District Attorneys that would agree with him. 2. You dont give us enough information to respond on your main question. If they are recommending a 1-2 there are a lot of facts missing. You arent going to find great answers here. Your best bet is enlist private counsel. If the cop threatened you with charges you are well within your rights to seek counsel. They will be able to go through specifics with you and even asist you in communicating your desires to the district attorney.
