In May 2017, I got a speeding ticket in Jackson County, Florida. I was going 14 mph over the speed limit. I was offered the option to pay the $203 speeding ticket and take a defense driving course. I paid the ticket, however I completely forgot to take the course. As a result, a $41 fee was assessed, I had no idea of this until 2/1/18 when I got a letter from the credit bureau of Marianna telling me I have an unpaid ticket. Now my license is suspended for the state of GA. I have no idea when that happened or what I would even need to pay to get it reinstated. I also need to know if I'm going to get points on my license, since the point system works differently between the two states?
You have a ticket in FL and your license was suspended in GA? I think it is likely that your license was suspended in FL first, and then GA became aware of the suspension, and suspended your license.
You need to sort it out in FL, not GA first.
