My significant other got charged with PWI of less than a gram of a controlled substance. He has a gravity score of 1 and has served almost 3 months so far. He has sentencing in a few days. Two weeks ago he got a court ordered IPP form to sign in the mail. Does this mean he will be released on sentencing with the program?
By IPP form do you mean intermediate punishment program? Depending on what his IP sentence is, either a portion can be incarceration with credit for time served or Electronic Home Monitoring ("EHM"). If the sentence is Electronic Home Monitoring, then he or she will enter the program on the date of sentencing and would report to adult probation. He should have received a tentative plea offer to know what the proposed sentence should be.
