I’m currently in a process to become a security guard. And today I had to do Fingerprints but I have a juvenile record for armed robbery when I was 17 I’m currently 18. Is my juvenile record going to provent me from getting the job. I’m in California
Was your case handled in Juvi court or were you Certified to adult court due to the seriousness of the charge. Also, what was the result? Depending upon the actual final disposition, you may have been eligible to have the case sealed. If it was a strike, it can't be sealed.
It depends on how the case was resolved. Was it resolved as a strike? did you go to CYA? Just depends on if you were able to seal it, If you were, then it shouldn’t affect you.
It will depend on whether or not your juvenile record was completely sealed. If it was sealed, you should be okay. If not, your record will likely come up.
