I sent in my application using the previous forms, that were to be discontinued on 2-21-2017. I sent in my application on the 2-18-2017 with the correct updated fees and it was accepted in the Chicago lock box on 2-21-2017. I was unaware of the form change, which is a mistake on my part. I called USCIS and spoke to a level 1 customer representative and was informed that USCIS would used the postmark date of the 18th. I sent in a form G-1145 and I've yet to hear back a week later. My question is whether the USCIS representative I spoke to is correct, that the post-mark date will be used to judge my application not the date it was received?
I do not believe we received any such instruction that the post mark date is what determines.
