Hello, I was contacted by my lawyer today asking if I went to urgent care 4 years ago for something lumbar. She is in the claim process going on with my uim insurance and they're the ones who are asking about that visit. I honestly forgot all about it and dont think it should have any affect on my case because I have a lumbar bulging disk and whiplash. And that back sprain felt nothing like my accident injuries. But now I'm worried my lawyer thinks I lied to her or it will hurt my case in some way and I'm freaking out. The at fault drivers insurance already agreed to pay the policy limits to me tho.
Since you have already hired an attorney, you need to discuss this with her.
Set up a time to go over your case in your attorney’s office. This, after all, is the reason you are paying your attorney. Any further advice from the attorneys on AVVO would be inappropriate since you are already represented. If after that, you are not satisfied with the answer your attorney gives you, consult with another attorney in your area to go over any potential legal options you may have regarding this issue.
Please do not message me for further advice. If you are in need of another attorney to assist you, please search for another attorney in the jurisdiction involved in your case, as I am now retired, and my former law firm is no longer handling these types of cases. I am active on AVVO and answer questions only as a public service at this point.
IMPORTANT: No attorney-client relationship is formed through interaction with this attorney on this public forum. If you rely upon any part of the content of this response in making any decision or pursuing any course of action, you do so at your own risk and without recourse against this attorney or law firm.
