I’m 23 just moved out of my parents house, and work 50+ hours a week, and it slipped my mind to get my plates transferred over from my old car to my current car, I was pulled over and given a ticket for fictitious tags. I’ve only been to court one time in my life, I was 16, my question is will I serve jail time or not?
Jail time on a plates charge is generally reserved for those who are perpetrating some kind of fraud. Get your plates right and you should be fine. It helps to have a lawyer make sure everything goes smoothly.

Whether jail is imposed is always up to the judge but given your charge and lack of record I highly doubt jail time would be imposed especially if you get the plates fixed immediately.
