Will I lose my license and can I get a reduction?

What was the speed limit? And what does your driving record look like? First ticket but are you a provisional licensee? You can lose your license if convicted of 81 or faster in a 70 mph zone. You can lose your license if you’ve recked up lots of points in 3 years OR you’re convicted of 2 charges of speeding over 55 mph in a 12-‘month period.
Can you get a reduction- probably. Could your license still be suspended- absolutely- depending on the circumstances I’ve mentioned. So since I don’t know the speed limit where you were charged and you say it’s your first ticket, I recommend you have a lawyer help you.

A local lawyer may be able to have this reduced to a non-moving violation for you. Having it reduced to a non-moving violation will help with both your insurance and license.
