I'm currently going through a custody battle with my mother over my son. In the summons it says my husband and I are to meet with a parenting coordinator. Neither of us are working at the moment and have no income. Will we have to pay this parenting coordinator? And if we can't afford to pay him, what do we do? We don't have an attorney so I'm lost in all of this.
It is probably best that you consult with a local attorney who is familiar with the local county rules. There may be an option for court costs to be waived if both parties are financially indigent. You can ask the Court directly when you are there. Best of luck to you.
