I just what to be sure before we do anything?
Having sex (or any sexual contact) with a 14 year old is a serious crime. At 14, she cannot consent to any sexual contact or intercourse. At 17, you are an adult for criminal justice purposes. You could go to prison and be on the sexual offender register for life. Do not fool around with her.

Yes, you will go to jail (or prison). You don't need to get her pregnant to get into trouble with the law. Sexual contact or sexual intercourse is all it takes. Pregnancy can be an aggravating factor. It is a far better idea to look for a girlfriend who is your own age. It is even better if your girlfriend is at least 18 years old. Be aware that if you get anyone pregnant, whether she told you she was taking "the pill" or not, you will be on the hook legally for child support. If the person you get pregnant receives any public assistance, she cannot waive your child support obligation. Having children when you are still a child yourself is a really, really bad idea. Get yourself established in life with the education and/or job you are interested in before you start making babies. Having a child is a huge responsibility and is a tremendous life change. Whether that life change is a good one or a difficult one depends upon how much you have your life together. Be responsible for your decisions regarding sex and procreation.
