I’m a NJ driver in daunting NYC, paid two moving violations within 18 month period. The proceeding Driver Responsibility Fee letter was never received, it was mailed to wrong address from 25 years ago. I have written proof of this from Albany. Officers arrested, fingerprinted and jailed me for three hours. It’s true I hadn’t paid the fee but it’s also true that I had absolutely no idea it was due.
Will the Judge let me speak?
I paid the fee that very day 12/4/19.
Thank you, John Giacchi
