I used my former employers work bus for personal matter, the bus was returned within an hour and it was a weekend, she found out a few weeks later and terminated me. Just two weeks ago I got into an accident and the officer informed me of a warrant for my arrest in VA. I reside in SC. Im in the process of re-enlist in the Amy. This incident occurred back in 2015. I have no prior arrests.
The first thing you need to do is to find out what your warrant covers. It may be for the unauthorized use of a vehicle, or it may be for something else.
I suggest you contact a criminal attorney in the area of Virginia (I think you mentioned Portsmouth), and see if you can get some details on this warrant before you jump to any conclusions.
Kristina Beavers, Attorney at Law. I cannot give legal advice because there is no attorney-client relationship at this time. All I can provide is general legal information.
You could be arrested anytime coming in contact with authorities, including at the airport. The army will know about this too. You need to contact Portsmouth Police or have a lawyer check for you and resolve this.
