I know I have a warrant for my arrest due to a failed drug test. I am supposed to report to probation on Friday but I don't want to go to probation & be arrested and sit in jail for the weekend. I want to turn myself in on Monday so I can try to keep my job and hopefully not have to do the 93 days in jail. I was given the max sentence for driving while suspended with a prior in 10 years. I served 3 months in jail and got 6 months probation and I started probation on Oct 17
It is almost always listed in your terms of probation that you report to probation when you are told to. So yes, if you don't go to your probation appointment on Friday, another violation could be filed. Typically to the more violations you have, to more likely you are to serve some of your backup time in jail.
Consult an attorney regarding your specific situation. Your attorney may be able to negotiate a deal with the prosecutor and probation to keep you out of jail for the violation. Further, your attorney would be able to advise on the best way to proceed in terms of contesting or admitted your violation.
