I'm a little worried now because I've been going to community labor everyday and the rainy days are catching up to me. I only have 1 day to spare now and I was giving 90 days. I have 32 left and it is due on February 11th. Idk if I'll be able to make it on time or if I'll be a couple of days short. It's for a domestic violence case that was 3 years ago. Idk how many extensions was given to me because the first couple of extensions I had I wasn't able to do my hours since I had no way of getting to Caltrans but this last extension I recieved I was able to do the days but I waited the last second to do it. I was given a year but me being young and dumb ended up in this situation. I'm not looking for any excuses. If I do see the judge again I will be honest with her. Is there any option besides jail time or how much time will I be doing in jail if it does lead to that? It was 90 days of Caltrans or 120 days of jail time. She already extended my probation to August 2019. So idk what'll happen.
You should contact your lawyer asap to advance the case so the rain is not a distant memory and perhaps the Judge will give you one last extension. The more days you do the less likely they are to give you the jail option; even though the jail will be over faster than the CL you agreed to do. However, DV charges serve more time than other misdemeanors in custody.....
