About 3 months ago I was arrest for marijuana, got fingerprinted, and was released to my parents. My court date never fell through I haven’t heard anything back from the courts and etc since. My question is how can I get a job if I have fingerprints. BTW I’m 17 so a juvenile.
Good news. As a juvenile the record and prints are normally disclosed on background checks. My guess is there will not be a adjudication. Juvenile Court takes time. Your charges should not be disclosed to an employer. Quit smoking until it is legal.
Yes, you should be able to. As others have said, juvenile records are sealed and should not have an impact in the future for you. However, the concerning issue with this is that you have not heard from the courts in three months. I would certainly encourage you to reach out to the courts to determine why, or to hire an attorney to assist you with this.
