5/2018 brought 12-13 year old dog to veterinarian for wellness exam. I asked for him to do a dental cleaning (under anesthesia). As he went to examine dog's mouth, I told he she won't let you touch her mouth and he stated back to me "I wouldn't bother" (in doing a dental cleaning) without any further oral/dental exam such as Xrays or discussion re same. Five months later dog ill with tooth infection and died within 48 hours. I wrote Dr but received defensive response and that due to her age he didn't think warranted risks of anesthesia. Yet this Dr. did a dental previously on my other 20 year old dog with all precautions. I want to do an honest review but it is negative and could affect his practice. I am concerned about possible harrassing lawsuit on Dr's part. Would Anti-SLAPP laws protect me as long as I stick strictly to facts? Please and thank you much.
