Here is my situation:
I was arrested for 1st DUI in Nov. 2018. I was arrested in Virginia with my VA driver license.
My first trial happened in Jan. 2019 and I was convicted for DUI.
In this case, I appealed my case and the next trial may be set in Feb. or March this year.
Meanwhile, I already transferred to CA for an internship starting from this year.
Now, I'm considering about applying a CA driver license while I'm not sure:
1) Is that legal for me to apply CA driver license/motorcycle license with the pending DUI trial?
2) If the VA court still convicts me for DUI, then I know the VA court will suspend my VA license for 1 year. However, I'm wondering if CA will also suspend the CA driver license too?
3) If I also apply for a CA Motorcycle License before the trial. Will my license be suspended for the possible DUI conviction?
I'm looking for solid legal advice and I'm willing to pay the consult fee to get a detailed answer.
Please let me know if you got any idea about my situation or who I can ask for help.
Thank you in advance and any advice is welcomed!
