I asked before, "Can I cancel the U.S. Citizenship application after it's been filed without any affect to my Green Card?." Then, I received 4 answers from AVVO attorneys and was told that "Yes, you can." I'm planning to travel abroad for a few month in the near future. Will be no problem at the US custom in JFK airport immigration after I cancel the U.S. Citizenship application? I have a valid green card. Thank you.
You shouldn't have any problem, as long as you have a valid foreign passport and a valid green card, as long as you are not inadmissible for some other reason (criminal issues, etc.).
Why are you withdrawing your application? If it is because of any issues in your immigration history which potentially could arise, you should seek a private consultation before you leave the U.S. to ensure that there are no problems when you return.
This response is for general information purposes only and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
It will be no problem unless you are inadmissible for some other issues, once you travel outside the country you will have to be admitted into the United States when coming back just make sure you are not otherwise inadmissible since a valid green card will not be enough to resolve any admissibility issues at the airport.
