I completed my Masters in Finance (Not Stem) in U.S in May 2016. I am currently working on my F1-OPT which will expire on May 29, 2017. My H1-B is getting filed this year in April 2017. I am planning to apply now for another Masters or Ph.d in a related field and enroll in an university which offers me CPT from day 1. Here are my questions:
Case1: Will applying for second Masters or Ph.d affect my H1-B application?
*** now assume for Case 2 and Case 3 that I got an admit from a school in a related field which gives CPT from day 1
Case2: (Considering H1-B results has not come) Suppose, the school starts before my OPT expiration, will my OPT be cancelled and I will be transferred to CPT?
Case3: if yes for case 2; then what will be the status if H1-B results come and I get selected. Will I be on CPT or H1-B? How will that work?
Appreciate your help.
Strategies are best brain stormed with a private consultation with an attorney. Good luck!
