I have a check that I was unaware of filed with the DA’s office. I recently found out about it and have been raking my brain calling anyone I could have possibly written a check to to find out what this is. I finally found it but the grocery store had turned it in and could not give me any details on the item. I am currently looking for a job and want to know if this type of warrant will show up on a background check. I’ve been told to post a bond and receive a court date
Generally, active warrants don't appear in background checks. YOu need to post the bond and get a court date to address the charge. If you decide to pay the bad check then "conviction" will be on your record forever. Use the "Find a Lawyer" feature to connect with an attorney in your area. Many will offer free initial consultation.
