I am currently going to court for a poss. of meth charge, and have asked for DOSA, At frist they were going to give it to me, then later got denied for have a pirior robbery that is about 8 years old. Is there any where I can look information on this. They have offered me one year and a day in a pea bargin?
The rule for a DOSA sentence is that a violent conviction, such as a robbery, must be at least 10 years old. If the conviction is 8 years old, it doses not appear you will qualify. If your County has a Drug Court program, it is possible you may qualify for that. If you do not have an attorney, you should get one.
