Will DV TRO (Family law) affect a immigrant's ability to change status from H1b to Permance Resident.
Does it matter on the final result of Domestic Violent Temporary Restraining Order, or does it not depend at all as it is not a criminal charge.
I am being sued for Domestic Violence and divorce. Do civil cases/family law cases affect immigration process
a TRO if ever violated can be considered in your eligibility for the residency as well as a conviction for domestic violence, but not a civil matter such as divorce does not in of itself present any issues.
The very general answer is yes, it could.

It certainly could if there is a violation which is a crime in and of itself. You really need to speak to a divorce attorney or immigration attorney which expertise in restraining orders to make sure you do not have problems
Civil cases generally do not impact eligibility for adjustment of status. Consult with an attorney.

Any kind of violence can affect immigration benefits. In some cases, the commission of the act is sufficient.
