The custody agreement was changed today to add that I can get passports for my daughter and permission to travel to Germany. Its written out like that. Her father may or may not fill out the paperwork I would need him to fill out so I can get the passport. If he does not, will the custody paper be enough for me to get her passport?
If your custody order specifically states you can get a passport for your child, that means you have the right to fill out the passport form; you may have to attach the Court certified custody order with the completed passport form. Also, travel abroad with a copy of the court order; you also have to share the travel information of the child with the other parent. If you are in doubt about the Court order, please consult with a local area attorney on that order. Some attorneys offer limited scope consultations.
