OK so I ve been on probation for close to 8 months now and I had to give My probation officer a verble or she was going to take me to jail so I told her what she wanted to hear now my wife is running with it ! Now I went in to test today And everything was good all except on I pissed the first try one all was negative then she did not believe meso she tested me a second time with a sheriff watching this time all are negative except the amphetamine , why would on the second be negative for methamphetamine and be positive for amphetamine at the same time
Amphetamine is the parent compound to methamphetamine. However amphetamine is also present in various legal drugs like aderrall. Therefore a person on aderrall will test positive for amphetamine but negative for methamphetamine. A person who used methamphetamine recently will test positive for both amphetamine and methamphetamine. Therefore depending on what you had in your system, you are in the best position to decipher the results. Best luck.
There could be several explanations for this. A drug expert is really the best person to answer this, however, there may be a simple explanation such as the probation officer merely did the test in a wrong way on the first sample. Best of luck to you.
There are many reasons the second time was different; the exam may have been administered incorrectly. You may be able to get the sample re-tested - would be best to consult with an expert familiar with drug testing.
