My lawyer has lacked communication since he decided to take my case. my case started in the end of 2016, I hadn't even spoken with my lawyer until 4 days ago. Before my deposition, and finally met him at my deposition on the 7th. He first was preparing me for the deposition, and telling me that he would have took my case if he wasn't sure he could win it. Then, after he leaves to go talk to the other lawyer he comes back basically telling me that I could be losing everything if I don't settle because the first doctor I saw said nothing was wrong with me. My lawyer my basically getting anger and telling me that this offer won't be here tomorrow and that I need to take it. He treated me with such disrespect that I started crying in the deposition room. He then calls the deposition oath under perjury like if I was being found guilty of lying. He was trying his hardess to make me settle.
if you signed a release the case is over. If not, you need to take a copy of the file to another lawyer to review for a second opinion. You lawyer's style may be poor, but his opinion/evaluation may be accurate. Someone else needs to review the file to give an opinion.
You should really ask your lawyer these kinds of questions and what the conversation was all about
Perhaps your attorney discovered additional information while investigating matter and during discussions with OPC.
Review concerns and questions with your attorney. If responses unsatisfactory, you may seek another opinion from another attorney.
