A local martial artist was charged with molesting multiple minors in December 2011. The filing by the DA was supposed to remain confidential. However, it was released. With 2 of the 4 charges, an accomplice is alleged to have participated. There is not a distinction as to whether the accomplice was the same with the two girls or if there are actually two accomplices.
When it comes to who is charged in any specific charging document, the DA has final say. There are many reasons why a guilty party would not be charged, specifically they may be providing evidence of the crime or may have cooperated in another fashion which secured no chares filed against them.
i agree with my colleague. The evidence may not be as strong or the person may be cooperating with the DA.
