I received a release of withholding from earnings in my paycheck today. I did not ask for this but happy to get my full paycheck. Why would a collector release my garnishment when my debt hasn't been full paid. I did not think there would be a statute of limitations but this garnishment had been for the last six years.
they wouldn't end the garnishment if they were still owed money. Contact them and ask for a satisfaction of the judgment.

Request a Satisfaction of Judgment from the creditor. It sounds like your debt is paid-up.
