There may be other considerations when it comes to the time that your son must server, however, based on the information you have given, it has only been 5 months.

There are many things that could play into his sentence. It is possible he entered a plea and as a condition of the plea The State asked The Court to not credit him for previous time served. As noted above, it has not yet been six months. If your son was credited for time served he should be out soon, especially if he has been credited good time during incarceration, which begins to accrue the moment you walk through the door to the facility. You should consult your Son's trial Attorney to get specifics on his sentence.
