I received my calendar call notification today and it has my offenses on there and for 1 of them it's on there 4 times. Im confused because I didn't do that Charge 4 times
The reason is that the State of Georgia can formally charge you with multiple charges even if you were arrested only one warrant. The best way to fight the allegations against you is to get an attorney that will represent you and your interests.
While I am a licensed attorney in the State of Georgia, I am not your attorney, even though I have answered your question here on Avvo. I take the time to answer questions here on Avvo as a public service, and a way to help educate the public about certain aspects of the criminal justice system here in Georgia. If you are in need of more detailed answers or representation, you will have to contact me, set up an appointment, and after a consultation, retain me for my services.
This is normal, and could be for a number of reasons. Without knowing the facts and circumstances surrounding the charges (and without knowing what the charges are), it is impossible to surmise 'why' the state did it.
You should talk directly to an attorney about your situation. Usually in negotiations an attorney can get the state to merge or drop many of the duplicate charges.
